About Me

Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats’ feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar

That's a line from T.S. Eliot's The Hollow Men. It also has very little to do with who I am, but I sure think it's pretty.

My name is Adam, I'm 20 something years old, I love food, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg's granddaughter once called me cute. Other adjectives used to describe me include "sarcastic," "go away," and "no, I'm not really interested in contributing to your useless blog, I'm trying to work right now, leave me alone, son."

I fancy myself a writer in the sense that a dog fancies himself people. Nobody's going to correct him because he's not hurting anyone and honestly, he probably wouldn't understand people language anyway right?

Think of this blog as an "adventure blog." I did some traveling in high school and college -- I went to Mexico for a week on a service trip in high school, Jamaica for fun another week in college (Kingston, not Sandals or something because those resorts are poison to the residents of the country and also I was broke), Guatemala a couple of times (I'll dig up those posts eventually), and most recently I went to the Republic of Georgia and taught a little English. The vast majority of posts from 2010 are about Georgia, and there'll be more, I guarantee. I won't restrict this space to just travel blogging anymore, because I don't foresee myself living outside of the U.S. in the next year (though a trip overseas may crop up in a few months, who knows).

If you've read this far then you really must enjoy what I write, so go ahead and dig through my archives. Oh, and I'm breaking into the world of copy writing and editing, so I guess that makes me a freelance writer.

That sounds good.
